Today was another boring day of work, but was dismissed a bit earlier. I went home to get changed and met Kohar for a movie at Cine, "Eden Lake". The movie was very gory and I'm not kidding. For those who can watch Final Destination without flinching, you might have no problem watching this. If not, I would advise you not to watch it. After movie, we went to have Long John Silvers, and then headed home.
This story starts with an ordinary couple wanting to have a romantic outing at somewhere secluded where they can have the world all to themselves. After they found a perfect spot, they laid back and enjoy. But shortly, a group of young teenagers came, and destroy their tranquility. After a few fatal events, the group's leader become vengeful and decided to plot his revenge. Soon after, the couple realized that their romantic trip is soon gonna turn into a nightmare. Both of them now have to try to break free from the group of vengeful teenagers and find help before it's too late. Only strength, determination and courage will render them back their freedom and tranquility, but amidst their peril, they somehow managed to meet the parents of the kids.. In a very unexpected manner.......
It is the start of the ox year, and experts say that it's not gonna be a good year ahead.
It can't be more right! Back to work today, and so many colleagues are on leave. The worse is I have to help them do their work! Furthermore, I am on duty today. And recently, problems have been surfacing about my life. Why can those few words change a person's thinking and feelings? Those words are so powerful, so sensitive. Which now, make me feel so lost and confused.
Even my family is having their doubts on me. What have I done wrong? Tearing through the night doesn't really help much either. Perhaps it was I that made the first wrong move, I don't know...
It's the 2nd day of the Lunar calendar. Little Auntie gave my family and some relatives a brunch treat at Fortunate restaurant in Toa Payoh. Then we headed home for a round of mahjong before I head to AMK to meet up with DD, and then to DD's house. We did quite alot of stuff there, and I couldn't open up the file that contain the MP3s DD wanted. Diao... No choice but to wait for another day. Borrowed a few DVDs to watch too... Heehee...

Woke up quite late for the 1st day of the lunar year.. Haha.. Was planning to meet up with Kohar, but didn't because it was a bit last minute thingy. Relatives came and visit and exchanged greetings here and there. After which, we went to the house of one of the relatives that came to my house. Lol... Played Wii and mahjong, won $1.20! Good start, huh? :)

I watched this movie today. I didn't realized it was based on a true story.. x.x" Haha... Anyway, it is about this mother around the late 1920s. After her son went missing, and she made all her efforts along with the LAPD to find her son, but to no avail. A few months later, her son was found. But was it really her son? The mother keep insisting her son isn't hers because of his tremendous change in physiques. But the LAPD insisted it is her son. She is feeling dubious. After which, she made her own efforts to try to find her real son, on her own because the LAPD is reluctant to help her.
This movie teaches us on 2 moral values: "Determination" & "Hope". No matter how people may think of her, discriminate her, she still presses on and still cling on hopes to find her real son. And her determination pays off.. Or did it...
I took MC today because I didn't feel like going back to work. Heehee... But at the same time I can go see the doctor regarding the pain in my wisdom teeth area. After diagnosis, doctor suggest to remove all 4 wisdom teeth as she says that it will be of no use. Signed the surgery approval form, made an appointment, and left hospital for home to get ready to meet DD later... After that went to celebrate friend's birthday. It was an interesting party-- Especially the Yu Sheng part.. Hahaha...

After work, I was suppose to go gym but Jon is still sick. So we decided to go on Thursday. So in the end, I met up with DD. We went to discuss about our Taiwan trip around February-March. :)

After book out, I went to meet DD at City Hall and have dinner at Hong Kong Cafe because I was craving for their milk tea. Haha... After dinner, we walked around town then accompanied DD to take a train to YCK. Waited for the bus together, DD's bus arrived first. Took bus 72 to Tampines, and boy it was a long journey. After which, I took a bus to Jon's house to stay over-- had supper too.
Next morning, woke up quite late because we were quite tired. Haha... But we still had breakfast at the coffeeshop downstairs, and then headed for gym while Jon went for his 2km run at SMU. After gym, I accompanied Edwin for awhile and walked to City Hall, and then both of us headed home. I went home to bathe and then took my stuff and headed to NLB. Stayed till 7pm and left to meet up with Jon at town to buy ingredients to cook for supper tonight. We wanted to get minced meat from the meat counter, so we went there. And there was this fucking sissy, wanting to buy a chicken. He asked the guy to cut the chicken with so many requests. He cut off the one part of the chicken and showed him. And he said: "You see, there is blood here. How am I gonna cook with it?" Both of us were pissed, but we just kept quiet. And he just kept going on with his requests. And finally it was our turn.
As I'm blogging, I'm at his house now. And I can't connect to his wireless modem, which is just in front of me. And I have to connect to another person's wireless... Zzz......
I went back to gym today after 1 week without going, it was a bit rough. But I jogged for 20 minutes on the threadmill today and survived through without getting bored to death. Haha...

No wonder sometimes my hamster just stone at a position for no apparent reason for quite awhile. Now I know why it does that...
I took urgent leave today again cause I was so tired to go book in. Haha... Then continued sleeping and woke up around 10+, and prepared to meet Cheryl in TP. I was thinking to go or not, but I still went anyway. I did the usual stuff, and we left at 5pm. I went back home to put my laptop and then off to meet DD in town. DD bought something that was requested by friend, and then we had dinner at Wisma Atria's Food Republic. After which, we walked all the way to PS and strolled around Carrefour. We were planning to buy some sushi, but on second thoughts, we didn't. Lol...

The world has just ushered the new year 2009. As some may see it as a new chapter of their lives once again, but other have deem it as a tough year ahead, e.g. recent recession.
For me, I will take it as a new chapter of my life. Closing the previous chapter(2008), opening and welcoming the new chapter(2009) of my life. This new chapter has just started to be written. I'm kinda blessed if I can say that. After passing my 21st birthday 2 months ago, I have learned a lot about life. Experiencing life's ups and downs, where I learned to managed to press on during the down times alone. As I always believed, there is no one more trustworthy than yourself. All the friends I have acquainted, some of them kinda drift apart from me. But there are some that we always keep in close contact with, despite our busy lifestyle. And recently, I have just met DD, my love. Although we were together in just 1 month, our trust and relationship has reached the peak.
This year is gonna be quite a major year for me. I will be ORDing this June, which is gonna prompt me which route of my life I'm gonna trek. I need to save up a lot of money, because I have so many things I need to do with it. Studying, traveling, shopping, etc.. Buying a house(?) Okay, I'm just thinking too much. That's definitely out of the question. I can't even afford a car and I'm talking about houses. But there's nothing wrong about dreaming big right? :P
I have been considering after taking my private diploma, and if I can make it to University, I wanna go overseas to get my degree. Traveling around the world is in one of my wish list, I wanna see the world and experience the different lifestyles the world has to offer! Oh... And there are so many things I wanna buy, clothes, memberships, gadgets.
Oh... And my all-time favorite new year resolution? Getting rich!! Oh well, who doesn't? :P
I am suppose to meet Cheryl in TP today, but apparently, her class ended a tad earlier. So I decided to meet her at City Hall instead. Had Popeye for lunch, and then proceeded to Carrefour to get her Portable Hard Disk. After which, I walked her to the mrt and met DD at Bugis. Window-shopped the whole of bugis to pass time, haha. Nonetheless, it was precious time spent happily. :P
I went to Jon family's restaurant to have dinner with Edwin and some other friends. Talk a lot of rubbish, and we all laughed so hard. Hahaha... And then to the Marina Bay countdown. It was very crowded as expected, and of course, a lot of Bangla. And they certainly love to push. Everyone was so annoyed with them and some even threw vulgarities at them. And it was the time to usher the new year 2009, with beautiful fireworks lighted in the dark sky. After that, we tried to find somewhere to chill, which took us long enough to get to the TCC at Bugis to sit down to have a drink. The rest took a taxi home, while me.. Hah!
I walked from Bugis all the way home. :)
