(:Insecurity:)

Why do people wanna get involved in a relationship?

1) To forget their previous one?
2) They truly love their current one?
3) Just for the sake of being in a relationship?
4) Because his/her friends are all attached so he/she must be attached too?

I'm really perplexed here. I know of people that qualifies the options.

Being in a relationship, whether married or not, both have to share whatever needs to be shared. I hope I did played my part well enough of sharing with my partner. If you love the person, would you save the person even at the cost of your life? No matter how busy or frustrated you are at work, will you spare some time to spend time with your love? Will you listen to his/her rants? Will you get intimate whenever you have the opportunity? Will you always say "I love you" or "I miss you" whenever the time deems right? Will you lie to your partner to escape certain situations?

Respect is also another important factor in a relationship. Since you're in a relationship with the person you love, means that you have given respect for the personality of that person. You like the personality of your partner, that's why both of you are together as a couple. But the respect has to stay at that line. Nothing is more intolerable than a guy that abuses and shows utter disrespect to a woman. Everybody deserves a level of respect, or at least a bit of it. If you show respect to a person, the person is most likely to give you back the respect you deserve.

Many couples, married couples especially, after marriage, they tend to forget to love their partner like what they do when they are in their honeymoon period. This is one that I don't comprehend. Is there a difference between a couple that is married and a couple that is not? It is only a "ceremony" difference. Is it because after one has seized his chase, he feels bored of it already? Which in turn, decides to search for another prey to get back the "chasing" feeling back in them? Is this how the love world works these days?

Take a look at the Chinese character shown above. It means "love". See how the character is formed. The Chinese character for "Heart" is placed in the middle of the Chinese character of "Accept". This is to imply that you get attracted to the person for what they are and will accept what they are or who they are, no matter what happens. That is what love is. But many people I know nowadays regard love as a game. Whoever puts in the feelings first lose the game. I mean what nonsense is that?? That is not called love! And nothing more I hate most is not being loved by my partner. What's the point of being in a relationship if you don't wanna love your partner?

On a final note, if you think you can't commit, can't stay monogamous, can't resist lusting temptations, it's best you don't get involved in a relationship to avoid unnecessary throe you will cause to innocent parties.
